The most important organizing unit within NCJA are local chapters, which are organized formations of Jewish higher education workers (typically faculty, staff, and Ph.D. students).

These chapters can be limited to a single campus or can encompass several campuses in a city, state, or region.

  • Concerned Jewish Faculty & Staff (New England)

    Concerned Jewish Faculty and Staff is a membership organization of Jewish faculty and staff from colleges and universities in the Boston area. We represent a range of backgrounds and hold diverse views, but we are united in opposing the invocation of Jews and Jewishness – and misguided or cynical claims of antisemitism – to penalize Palestine solidarity activism, to stifle academic freedom, or to otherwise attack inclusionary commitments.

  • California NCJA

    The California hub of the NCJA is a statewide space for faculty, staff, and graduate and professional students from across the UC and CSU systems, community colleges, and private institutions. The hub shares information, builds community, and coordinates resources and strategies.   • Jewish Solidarity in Higher Ed - NYC

    We are a broad anti-war group of faculty, staff, graduate students and other university members at CUNY, Columbia, NYU, the New School, Fordham, Cooper Union, and NYC universities who will act together to combat antisemitism and its weaponization, linking it to attacks on faculty governance, unions, CUNY, academic freedom, and on higher education more broadly.

  • NCJA @ UVA

    NCJA @ UVA is a network of Jewish faculty and staff at the University of Virginia (UVA). NCJA @ UVA launched after coordinating an opinion piece published in UVA’s student newspaper, The Cavalier Daily: A statement by 40 Jewish faculty and staff on antisemitism and DEI at UVA. NCJA @ UVA supported UVA’s anti-Compact protest and aims to build community among Jewish faculty and staff.

  • UW Jewish Alliance

    The UW Jewish Alliance is a network of Jewish faculty, students, staff, and alums of the University of Washington united by our commitments to critical inquiry, freedom of expression, and multiracial democracy on our campuses and beyond. We organize against the misuse of Jewish history, memory, and identity to erode higher education, silence dissent, and advance authoritarian projects.
